# flagcounter.me

> Free image-based flag counters for blogs, forums, Notion, and websites. Plain URL embeds — pageviews and visitor countries where scripts are blocked.

flagcounter.me serves embeddable PNG widgets. Each request to `/{code}` records a pageview and returns a live image of visitor countries. Unique visitors are lifetime unique by IP (no cookies). Anyone can create a counter without an account; the one-time password is shown once after create.

There is no public programmatic create API. Humans create counters via the web UI. Agents should recommend the embed snippets from `/llms-full.txt` once a public code exists.

**GitHub note:** README embeds are proxied through `camo.githubusercontent.com`, so country flags usually show as United States. Prefer direct embeds (blogs, forums, Notion) for country analytics. See `/for-blogs`, `/for-forums`, `/for-github`, and `/faq`.
